When the Statuesque Gerudo approached them, she was obviously different, her hair prodominently silver in place of the typical fiery red of the Gerudo. Kaythenia suddenly felt very short, there was almost a foot and a half between them. Even after she sat down, Kaythenia felt like she had to tilt her chin to make eye contact. When Sivilu queried if The Magess was the companion mentioned in the story about the dragon. Kaythenia presented a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes, she was still trying to get off the topic.

"Yes, that would be me in this case..."

Raven distracted her when he picked up one of her cards and looked at it with interest. The card he had picked up was the Hooded man, it just happened to be on top of the deck after her own reading that morning. He started to decline her offer, claiming that prophecy did him no favours and started mentioning that it wasn't appropriate for a Knight of Hyrule...then he stopped and looked down at his tunic as if something was missing. There was a pause and Raven seemed to change his mind.

Interesting.

Kaythenia shuffled the deck and spread the cards out in a fan, face down across the silk.

"Take seven cards but take your time and focus on what you want to know."

Raven was more than a little buzzed from his third tankard of ale causing him to become far more talkative than usual; causing him to unleash his inner bard. For the next few passing moments Raven took great interest in the item Kaythenia was carefully unwrapping, upon seeing it was a deck of cards he picked one up for a closer examination. Looking over the strangely painted figure he held his chin as if trying to decipher what it meat before carefully returning it to the deck. "While I appreciate the generous offer prophecy has brought me nothing but suffering. While not all magic is inherently bad the goddesses don't smile kindly upon us meddling in divine affairs. I'm going to have to decline as a Knight of Hyrule I'm not permitted to......" Raven gave pause looking down to his green tunic to see patch where his royal crest used to be leaving only torn stitching in its current state. Loosing his knighthood was a sore spot for Raven and being reminded of it made him oddly defiant to royal wishes.

When a seductive voice rang out from the dullards it pushed past Raven's eyes lit up and a joyous smile spread across his face. When the potion was handed to him he quickly downed it without hesitation knowing full well how the Gerudo's elixirs worked. In mere moments he felt the pain from his fractured ribs healing as his slumped over stance was traded out for the tall posture of a proud warrior. After the potion took effect Link quickly chugged down the remainder of his drink to wash out the foul taste of the healing elixir, he hated the taste of potions but he hadn't the heart to inform the woman who held his affection. When the towering woman took a seat beside the two Raven respectfully took her hand placing a tender kiss upon it before relinquishing his light grip.

"I see the winds of fate have brought us back together again. As always you are an oasis in this world of worries of Sivilu."

Sliding the empty vial back towards the potion master he smiled thankfully. "Thanks, shattered ribs do make it hard to keep composure." The Hylian gestured towards the woman in the crimson dress his armored gauntlets clattering as he did so. "Sharp as ever I see, this is Kaythenia. Kaythenia this is Madam Sivilu. You heard the story so you know how we got acquainted with the dragon." Looking at the cards Raven had finally has enough alcohol to ignore his better judgement and do something considered scandalous. "On second thought please proceed, a reading would be a pleasant distraction. Who knows maybe I'll encounter great fortune and see a silver haired beauty in my future." He said with a playful wink directed at the sassy alchemist.

It just so happened that another familiar face was amongst the cheering patrons of the tavern. She smiled as she sat at the back if the crowd; she couldn’t see the one telling the tales which the crowd enjoyed so much of, but she certainly recognised the voice. Silivu sipped away at the ale which stirred within her goblet before finally deciding to rise back onto her feet and leave the empty goblet on the table. Plus, given the height she had been blessed with, her head also poked over the crowd around her.

With a sway of her hips, the Gerudo woman parted the crowd as she made her way over to Raven and his companion. She rested a hand on a hip before speaking up warmly, “That sounds quite the adventure – I am hardly surprised.” Sivilu chuckled before slipping a hand into her travel pouch to fish out a vial with red liquid stirring within it and handed it over to the man in green, “Here, if you are in need of it. It’s good to see you again, Raven. Sav'saaba."

The tall women then looked on over to the red-haired companion of Raven’s and she still offered a smile before adding, “And am I right to assume that are you this friend of his from the tale? Or?” she questioned before inviting herself to take a spare seat at the same table.

Kaythenia knew that Raven meant well, she really she did. She fixed a smile on her face as the locals clapped her on the back to congratulate her for her part in the heroics. But she couldn't help but feel a little anxious about it. In her situation, she did not want to be famous, infamous, notorious or anything inbetween. Not with Davik and the rest out looking for her. Kaythenia was used to doing the following, staying moving and not announcing herself or her powers to the general populace. But as she had said to Raven, it was either she did something or they both would have burnt to death. She didn't expect him to start Barding on her behalf after a few Ales. The Magess herself hadn't touched any and had requested tea instead, holding the cup with both hands. It seemed she was going to have to change the subject and soon.

The young woman put down her teacup and rummaged in her back until she found her deck, wrapped in it's bright silk. The perfect distraction. Kaythenia put it down on the table and got Raven's attention by tapping him on the arm. She kept it casual, an enigmatic smile quirked at the corners of her lips as she unwrapped the silk with a fair amount of ceremony, laying it across the table with the deck in the centre.

"Ever been curious about your future?"

The answer for pretty much everyone was yes, unless he was the superstitious kind. Plus the readings usually helped Kaythenia get a pretty decent insight into people. Either by the kind of question they posed to her, the reaction to the cards they pulled from the deck once she explained their meaning...plus, anything to stop him making her notorious. She sipped her tea calmly, observing him over the rim of the cup.

After a rather discomforting ride into Town Raven couldn't shake the thought of what he had just given up to Cia in exchange for the mage's safety. After a stop at a back alley doctor Raven insisted that the two get a drink in place of him resting in bed to properly heal his injuries. The two had arrived as a typical tavern with hard oak flooring and a welcoming atmosphere. The barkeep was a lovely young woman with a frilly apron tied around her waist, she seemed smitten with the green glad knight as all the drinks she poured for Raven and his company that night didn't cost them a single rupee. Grateful for her hospitality the knight offered a warm smile that only got warmer with every drink poured one would think the barmaid was trying to get him drunk.

Off at a table in the corner of the establishment he sat with his fiery haired woman, idly chatting away the night about previous adventures and where he grew up. There were odd legends about Raven never talking however these were myths that got mixed up with the truth and were derived from the fact Raven rarely  uttered a word in combat because he preferred to speak with his sword; he was actually quite the chatter box once you got a few ales into him. Raising his mug towards his company for the evening he called out to the rest of the bar. "Then she parted the flames while I delivered the finishing blow. With the fire ceasing the beast departed the world of he living" The other patrons around the bar cheered and hollered enthralled by the story of their heroics a few even going so far to pat the mage on the back and offer a drink.

Kaythenia knew that Raven was talking and she was trying to pay attention, really she was. But...she was just a bit floored by what had happened and his apparent casual attitude about it. What had she landed herself into? The Magess had her own problems, now she was in the middle of something between a Knight and a very...well, wrong, Sorceress. Cia and Davik would get on like a house on fire. That thought alone went a long way at making Kaythenia feel like she'd swallowed a rock. She shook her head to bring herself out of her reverie.

She caught the back end of his speech about earning his respect. Unshaken Kaythenia would have probably opened her mouth and said something about it was either help him, burn to death when her energy ran out or even more fun, Dragon snack. But Kaythenia right now? Didn't have the fire to banter that with Raven. When he wanted to know if there was anywhere nearby to get a drink, normally she would decline. But there was an exception to every rule. Also, he didn't look like he'd stay upright on that horse for long.

"Not far, there's a village a couple of clicks away by horse. Are you going to stay upright for that long?"

It was an honest question, she walked over to the tree where her own horse was still tied and undid the knots, it gave her a look as if to say 'Finally! What have you been doing?!' Kaythenia patted the flank of the piebald mare as to say 'Sorry' before mounting her, squeezing gently to make her walk.

Struggling to stand Link breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank the goddess you're unharmed. I apologize for getting you dragged into this. Cia is an old enemy of mine.....she's been long corrupted by twisted desire and a lust for power. She sent the dragon to destroy that town and I simply couldn't allow harm to come to those that dwell there. Your aide in the battle against the beast was truly a testament to your character, if you have need of me my blade is yours. Today you've forged a bond in battle and earned my respect."

Pausing to take note he'd just lost a piece of the most powerful relic in the he looked to the night sky exhaling before letting out a laugh masking strife and struggle. "Miss. Maverick the hour grows late and I find myself unable to forget our encounter with the wicked witch, would you happen to know a nearby place to get a drink? First round is on me and after that well let's just say between the dragon and Cia only the dragon would seem more present after a few ales." Struggling into the saddle he leaned forward letting Epona take his weight as he weakly clasped to the reigns only barely managing a trot towards the campfire.

Kaythenia did not notice the shadows at first, her focus being on Raven and his injuries, so she was caught off guard when she felt hands around her neck and collarbone, pulling her in tight. Her first thought was Davik, but it felt...wrong. Realising it was another woman and becoming very aware of the blade at her throat, Kaythenia was unable to take a deep breath or it would break her skin. What was this? What was going on?! Who was this woman? The Magess closed her eyes and felt it out, finding it's source and shape...shadow magic, she had come here by shadows.

And it was very apparent that she was nothing more than a hostage.

She didn't know this woman's voice and wasn't able to turn in her grasp to see her face. Only that smooth, sultry voice. Purring beside her ear and raising all the fine hairs on the back of her neck. Even if she cast, that the blade would be faster against her throat than she could call her power. There was nothing she could do! Kaythenia gritted her teeth and clenched her fists tight, the leather of her gloves creaking. When the Mystery woman started talking about 'Golden power' and 'sharing'...what was she going on about? It was apparent that they knew each other though, people don't generally call total strangers, 'lover'. But Raven seemed to know exactly what she was asking for. When despite his injuries, he called forth a golden triangle from his hand?! Kaythenia's blue eyes widened, what was all this? What was going on?!

But it apparently what this woman wanted, she tossed Kaythenia aside with no hesitation. Kaythenia hit the ground, a hairline of blood visible at her throat. But otherwise unharmed. The Golden Triangle became a part of the shadow witch and there was nothing Kaythenia could do about it. She might have magic of her own but she feared and hated it, this Shadow witch breathed it, it was a part of her being. They were on two different levels. She could only watch, wide eyed, as the corpse of the dragon vanished and with a glow of golden light was gone.

Once she had vanished completely, it took Kaythenia a moment to process what had happened. Then remembering Raven, who was still on the ground, she picked herself up and went to his side.

"Did that really happen?" She sounded shaken.

Cia moaned with pleasure seeing the Triforce of Courage surrendered to her so willingly; she licked her lips and plucked the golden triangle from the air before it sealed itself within her hand. She smiled looking at the back of her hand as two out of three triangles were filled in gold and glowing brightly; now having attained another piece of the triforce Cia's aura changed she now went from imposing to nigh unstoppable. The wicked witch now seemed larger than life itself as she let out a haughty life tossing her hostage aside. The knife slipped away into the Shadow's as Cia floated above the the seemingly powerless duo, lording her power over them with an impressive display of magic; the dragon's scales melted away to nothing as the dying beast was encompassed in a golden light, this process allowed her to add the dragon's power to her own. Cia once again looked down to Raven and the red haired mage before blowing a kiss and ascending into the heavens before vanishing completely.

With the golden glow gone the darkness crept back in only to be chased away by the flickering flames; what had just transpired here was sure to have an adverse effect on the entirety of Hyrule. While a force of evil was gathering power there was nothing our heroes could do now but head towards civilization and lick their wounds.

Still weak and wounded Raven could do naught but watch as Cia swooped in to threaten Kaythenia's life; Cia had indeed backed Raven into a corner as there was no way he'd sacrifice a life for a mere object. Without hesitation Raven held his hand high with it glowing in a golden light, the light only grew in intensity as a small golden triangular artifact hovered above his hand. With a furious look in his eyes he offered this divine artifact to Cia freely.

"Take it and go." Was all he uttered to the foul temptress as the pain from his broken ribs was keeping him pinned to the floor. He lowered his hand and watched on in disgust as the evil mage licking her lips would stood so low to attain he power she sought.
